I was playing some demon crest and got inspired to do some pixelling, so i pulled this off.

I love where its going, but im kinda stuck on the legs, cant find a good stance. The torso angle is pretty weird wich makes the legs hard to pull off.

Fell free to give insights or edit it to show me how i could make the legs.

Would be very appreciated.

Looks awesome, loving the colours and general design. The pose does seem a tad tricky though, i dont have any ideas for a standing position with the legs, but unless you really wanted him standing i think a sitting/kneeling (Etc) pose would be easier. I just imagined him sitting cross legged for some reason... with his hand on his knee. Eheh.

Hmm ill do some test for the sat position with crossed legs.
good idea there. altho that means ill have to make him a rock or a chair or whatever. ahh well a couple more pixels wont hurt me :P

advice for next time: rough out the entire body first.
sometimes it's a lot easier to see what pose is viable if the entire piece is at the same stage (ie stages like sketched, cleaned up, filled in, shaded, highlighted, polished, done). So before you go from sketch to polish with the top 1/2 try and sketch the entirety of the piece (including background if you're doing one) so that everything melds.

in this instance this advice isn't particularily useful, but keep it in mind for next time in order to avoid these issues altogether

A good tip for when you are drawing legs, is that the center of balance is always a verticle line straight down from the neck.

Im Still tweaking it up a bit, but overall its pretty much finished. I really love the colors, and i like the general bird like imp.

C+C still welcome. i will submit it to the gallery most likely next week after some tweaking.

you started out brilliantly but, when you added the other stuff, it messed up the pose.

He looks very stiff in the legs. Have his legs spread apart and bent a bit more. Maybe a fighter stance. The other arm looks bizarre and is missing a shoulder as well

yes it's very stiff. I also suggest turning the left foot toward us a little bit more.

I think ill most likely get rid of his right arm completely, i really dont like it

as for the pose, i got to agree PB. I think ill bend his legs a bit, but not too much, i really dont want him in a squatting position

quick edit:

give him:

  • a spear
  • a chest (this angle is what's really killing me... we don't get to see his other half at all)
  • another ear
  • and a beer (just cuz it rhymes)

Well That's that. I'm not completely satisfied with it, but I've dragged this one long enough, its time to move along <3

Feel free to C + C , altho i doubt i'll edit it, unless you bring up a wonderful idea that I love.
