I have been using photoshop to zoom in on pixel art, then while it is
zoomed in I take a screen shot and open that. This seems like a
roundabout way to do this but I want to get in close and show those
pixels. Does anyone have any ideas on enlarging and zooming in on
pixel art?

We will be adding a zoom feature to the forum... just haven't had time to do it yet.

you can always get firefox and get the image zoom extension that allow you to zomm any images anywhere on the web, with a rightclick+wheel

quite effective
