I created a sprite and added it, but why won't they accept it?

1. Make sure the file is the correct format jpegs arn't accepted.
2. Make sure the work is clean, meaning that there  are no jagged edges.
3. Make sure that the art is yours and not an edit of someone elses.
4. Does the art have enough complexity to be considered a loabour of love?
5. Is the art offensive in nature?

Lack of effort and overall spit and polish. The backgrounds should be transparent aswel, if you dont have a good program for it there are some links around the forums somewhere that will do it for you.
Basically, they're more of works in progress rather than finished pieces.
