the second animation could be more smooth because it looks like the box stays in the air for too long. You could also have the head stay in its place while the box falls, then when the box touches the ground, the head would snap down; would give the second animation a cool personality. :D

I'm no expert to pixel art so this is just a personal opinion. The second animation where it's head is bobbing back and forward, perhaps make it a little less violent and slow it down a bit. At the moment it doesn't look like its rocking back and forth on a spring, but it looks like someone is punching it from behind or something.
So maybe slow the animation down, and make it bounce backwards aswell, since in reality it wouldn't spring forward and then go straight back to its starting position before springing back out again.

Lol, cool character.
With what everyone else has said. I think you should simply tilt the box one frame more and when he falls back tilt it back a little and perhaps make him lean back a bit longer. Should make it look smoothar.

The jumping animation has no build up to his release. I'd make his neck
scrunch together and then quickly release and maybe while in the air,
make it squish again like the box is putting some pressure on from
below to get more height, and then fall back down.

looking better. But on the newest one, when he first jumps up his head should move a little to the right instead of standing centered.

Dont be afraid to make different rotations of the head. From what Im seeing, you only use the regular head and a 90* CCW rotated head.

I prefer the second Coke can. I like the direction that mockup is going, colorful and cute and whatnot. And I agree with BtG, with something this fun and cartoony, the animations should be over-the-top.

I think your animation would look sweet if you were able to add some squashing and stretching to the jump sequence. I have never done that in 2d so it might be too much of a pain to bother with? Regardless, it would look hot. Other then that I think the character design is great! Keep it up.

Oh, I came up with a pretty sweet idea for the game. BAsically he hops at the begging of the game, untill some elder dude or something tells him about his capabilities.
His box can transform into many things. A tank, a plane, a boat, and a submarine. That's all I have thought about as far.
I also came up with a few level ideas.
The Bedroom (Normal Mode) - Child toys and bugs. (Tutorial type level) Under the Bed (Tank Mode) - Dirty city of Dust Bunnies. (Boss = Slugly) Through the Hall (Plane Mode) - Flying bugs, some dust bunnies in planes. (Un-decided) The Bathroom (Normal Mode) - Un-decided for the type of enemies. (No boss) The Tub (Boat Mode) - Like a sea with other ships. (Boss = Rubber Ducky) Under the Water (Sub Mode) - Fish and other sea creatures. (Boss = Squid thingy)
That's all I've thought about as far... I drew up some concepts in my sketchbook last night. I'll attempt to pixel some sketches in the next two periods.

You should get Graphics Gale if you want to avoid piss poor quality animations.
The sprites are coming along nicely. The transformation is my favourite. The dust bunnies are also a novel idea but that boss sprite doesn't really do it for me. I'd make it less flat and angular in design. But you've made a new thread for it, so I'll save from commenting on it here.
At the moment the worst thing is the backgrounds and tiles. They seem really uninspired and don't enhance the nicely drawn sprites. I'd avoid using large areas of block colour.
I like your ideas though, and I think this could be quite a fun game.

Problem is I have no laptop at the moment.| So at the moment, I have to use Microsoft Gif Animator.
And it does absolutly nothing for quality of animations. But yes, one of the reasons I did all the rest with frames and not that one. Is because I ran out of time.

wEYHEY! the movement animation looks really good when actually playing it. I also like the whole jumping charge up thing. There was a dustbunny by the coke though, which was having a spazz out.

Hmm, it's weird. When I hold down and charge to anything less then half the bar. The spring goes glitchy and he doesn't jump.|
I'm making it so when you attack instead of using his head, a boxing glove will come flying out of his star and spring back into his box.

Lol, sweet. He looks a bit too timid at the moment though, i'd perhaps give him a blunt stare, sorta freaky looking. For some reason i also thought of a zip for a mouth.. but thats just my weird imagination.

But if I where you, I'd remove some frames when punching. This way, it
moves more pixels per frame, thus appearing to be moving faster, thus
having more force in the movement. I woulda made the edit even
powerfuller by removing frames if it wasn't so easy to Reverse an animation.

xD I just realized that I did the force thing when it came back into the box but not when it came out. So by reversing the animation it now springs out rather then spring back into the box.

Ok new update on Jester.
 Changed the symbol on his box from a boring moon to a broken heart. I did what Larwick suggested and added a zipper like mouth.
Alright newer attack animation.. I took Larwick's suggestion of a rediculously large glove and used it. I also added some movement from Jack's head when the glove ejects out.

Could anyone animat this one please? <3

I like it - though I think the glove should extend a bit futher - to come out seriously fast and then go back in a normal speed - it'll be a nice touch I think.

Ok so we changed the dimensions to 320x240 I also got the idea to base the first level off of an exact version of my room. So first we're starting off on my desk.
 It's most definitly a work in progress...
Ok so I fixed up the monitor, and moved everything around.

Darkened the monitor's shading a bit, and I also added my window/window ledge.

New idea for the Jester.
 He turns against JOoTB, and goes psycho evil on his ass. And I thought up a cheesy name!

That's good to hear. 
I may have not worked on this as much as I should have either; I still haven't quite finished adding the tiles for the desk and tweaking my collision-detection for them.
By the way, when you get time, can you finish an edge of the computer desk? It's the only other thing I need to make a level (or part of one at least) out of that tileset/mockup.
