I think there should be guidlines: (Lol, only just realised you put two already..) ~ 5 Colours max. ~ Black outlines. ~ 64x64 px. ~ Colours must be around the same hue (or at least look like it). ~ The image must be related to the person creating it. Those are what i think should be them, but others may disagree. They look awesome all together like that.

That's awesome Sedge, THX. I have been noticing that the black crosshatching is missing on several avvys. I think that is the most distinctive ascpect for this besides the 5 colors, Imho. (even Flammy saw that) EDIT: typos ------------- |

I changed it to the right dither technique and added a crown yes it is a potato. With crown which ones best?

Well, here is an updated version. Bigger size(had to do it from scratch), and correct dithering. Not so sure about the nose part, since a shadow shouldn't be casted there, but it looks good with it.  |

The point is to use a character that portrays you. Not text, not a kitten, not some dumb lamma. Also, you used no dither style, and your outlines are thin. -------------

Bryan 24: not being rude but yours seems to stand out from the
others for the wrong reasons. to make it fit in better i suggest: 1 - you use one tone of hues (greens/blues/yellows something that will make it fun :D) 2 - you should edit the background to have the same number of segments as the others. 3 - Make it something graphical (like a kitten or a lama or something that represents you or ur handle) 4 - If you like penguins why not make a different penguin, obviously if you did make a penguin im sure it would come out wayy different that BtG's style. 5 - Add the big bold black outlines and black dithering. If you dont like dithering (like me) at least try and make it fit the style. 6 - Make it more fun and creative, 'more friday night less monday morning' - to be all metaphorical about it :D 7 - I dont want to come across as a jerk, just trying to help your avatar fit in with the others more. 8 - W00t for numbered lists. 9 - just overall put more effort into it and you will be more pleased with the outcome! ------------- Snark, we love yuu. |
