Soooo... I'm trying to get my trillian to hook up to pixelation IRC. If pixelation IRC is down I'm going to feel like a goof. But, if it's not.... I can't seem to connect to it because I'm wicked confused. So.. When you make an IRC connection in Trillian it asks for the following: Server Alias via IRC, the address (I'm assuming because the box says irc.trillian.com::6667), Nickname, Username, User Info. So.... I know what to put in the address box and I'm pretty sure I can fill out Nickname, Username, and Userinfo. But... server alias? I was assuming that was pixelation so I put that in there and irc://virtual.dyc.edu:6667/ by itself in the address box... didn't work. I tried putting the whole irc://virtual.dyc.edu:6667/pixelation and then pixelation in the server alias... didn't work either. I can't connect. argh. Anyone know wtf to do?

I dont think Trillian can connect to IRC servers/channels. I could be wrong though. The pixelation IRC is up, and is active, so you should be able to join it. I would suggest using an IRC client that is well know. something like mIRC or Chatzilla if you have firefox. Or you can check out: http://directory.google.com/Top/Computers/Software/Internet/ Clients/Chat/IRC/ For a simple IRC client. ------------- "At least we killed some boredom..." - Death Note. |

Maybe it can only connect to trillian sponsored channels or something. That would sux0rz. But I'm going to check out the IRC client stuffs.Posted By: Aleiav

Alright. I got mIRC and I connected. :P It's just me and G_Dragon (whoever that is)... am I in the right channel? :P

That's Pixelation's channel, we use #pixeljoint on the slashnet server. Try /server slashnet and once connected /join #pixeljoint.

for the pixelation one its something like: /server irc.sorcery.net:6667 /join #pixelation but to get into the POOL you'd use Brian's info.  ------------- "At least we killed some boredom..." - Death Note. |
