In case you guys haven't been reading up over at pixelopolis, i decided to post here as well.  For the past while i've been building a new portfolio website for myself.  Photobucket just wasn't cutting it.  Hopefully this will impress employers a tad more than my last.

St0ven has kindly agreed to program the top part of the site to be a working mini-game (written in java) integrated right into my site's design.

still 2 things left to do:
- get the galley workin' (any ideas on how to do this efficiently?)
- get the game workin' (will be adding alot more game elements to the top)

and i also made my wonderful banner for you to post up wherever:
Yay! for odd dimentioned, 88x31, banners!

Methinks this belongs in the Diversions section.

Very nice site... I'm a big fan of your stuff :) I especially like the palettes you use.

I noticed you Photobucket wasn;t very professional.. but from what I can gather from those kick-ass little banners, is this is going to look amazing. Best of luck.

The addition of the tree on the top is brilliant, and i love the way the front page is set out, with the areas in cream and ones in grey - makes everything very easy to take in. Also, nifty little banner.

One thing, which isn't really important, is that when i'm looking at the grey area, the contrast between the text of 'about me' and the smaller text seems quite odd. Perhaps it's also because of the yellow text at the top, i'm not sure.

I would use http://www.zenphoto.org/ - ZenPhoto for the gallery, it is pretty much all CSS so you could make it fit any design, and is easy to maintain.

thanks for the comments guys - and i'll check out zenphoto.  thanks for the link  and larwick, your right about the contrast thing - i'll fix that up.

why was my thread moved?  I was planning on posting my game elements here up for critique as well as the website itself is a pixel WIP.  I believe i posted this in the right place.

Indigo, the page can't be displayed... It's probably just me being stupid, though. Oh, and best of luck with your gallery of amazing pixels. The banner already rocks.

On my website I simply have images listed somewhat categorized and with comments underneath, but one thing I've wanted to make was a slideshow. could be nice depending on how large your gallery is.

Also, your website design kicks mine's ass so bad it makes me want to redesign :o
