I think that's because his things didn't fit their 'real life' theme. Which is a good thing. It's so dumb, i can't believe some people would actually bother to do this, and think they can get away with it. GRR! I say, i say.

(12:13:47) Ensellitis: you dont seem to realize that, those works were stolen, and you are using them. everything on pixeldam holds a legal international copy right, and you are using them for commercial reasons. YOU are responsible. the community is raising legal funds now, so if i were you, i would remove them ASAP (12:13:48) Planet Of Internet . Com: also this site is start to work about 6 months before ? (12:14:22) Ensellitis: pixeldam has been around for years. i personally know people who have made some of the stolen art (12:14:55) Planet Of Internet . Com: can you tell me how can we remove them (12:14:56) Planet Of Internet . Com: ?? (12:15:07) Planet Of Internet . Com: don't you listen me... we have alot advertisers... (12:15:44) Ensellitis: I dont care how many advertisers you have, you think they will continue once they find out thier ads are on stolen property? (12:16:00) Ensellitis: delete them, that will remove them (12:16:05) Planet Of Internet . Com: but listen... we didn't stole them ? (12:16:42) Planet Of Internet . Com: and can you tell me... is it the same project like pixeldam ? (12:16:55) Ensellitis: YOU have them, THEY were stolen, THEY are on YOUR site. posession is 9/10 of the law (12:17:31) Ensellitis: Ok, listen to me very very carefully, i am only saying this once then blocking you... (12:19:59) Ensellitis: You are using stolen property to advertise, your advertisers will sue you once they find out. You are using copyrighted material. The FBI has already been notified. And you are lieing, i have already talked to a friend and you are giving two stories. The artists you stole from are getting ready to get a lawyer and prosecute you using internation treaties. You better talk to whom ever OWNS that site and have them remove that work ASAP, or else. (12:21:29) Planet Of Internet . Com: so else what ? (12:22:01) Ensellitis: Fine, i'll wave at you while your standing in front of the judge. Bye

I wouldn't be surprised if they themselves were the rippers. They probably thought since it was just computer art that no one would care. >_<
I hate people who think that art created on a computer isn't art.

Sadly, yes this continues. It seems that the laws in Turkey are quite
different as it relates to online content. Several people are looking
into it too from what I can gather. Barry should send an email with
updates soon and I shall report.

It seems that http://www.planetofinternet.com/ - Planet of Internet has changed ownership and management. An unknown company called Pixoftware LTD sent us several emails to cease accusing them of copyrights violation.
From: Planet Of Internet Info Team [mailto:info@planetofinternet.com] Sent: maandag 27 november 2006 11:08 To: mayor@pixeldam.net Subject: Hello, About Planet Of Internet

THIS PROJECT IS NOW PURCHASED BY PIXOFTWARE LTD.
Thanks for your cooperation. Pixoftware Ltd.
In our response I wrote:
Hello anonymous,
We
will not delete any posts. The fact that the website had stolen ALL
it's images from our community is a fact and we will not change
history. It happened and we will not deny it. I suggest that you post a
reply on those forums stating that it was an unfortunate situation by
the previous owners and that you would never commit such a violation.
What I shall do for you to 'clean your name' is write an article on
PixelDam that it is under new management and that you promise to not
violate any copyrights in the future.
Good day to you sir.
Barry Rijkse PixelDam Administrator
[update 16.dec.06] We have a response:
2006/12/16, Planet Of Internet planetofinternet@gmail.com: Hello;
As you see now, the planet of internet web site is clean. We removed your all images. Because we don't need them. Our Isometric Pixel Art Department create all images.
There isn't any illegal situation from our part. But if you do not remove (delete or change) that post, you will create an illegal situation. This is not our problem what happened in last time.
Is there any copyright violation now? The answer is exactly: NO
So if you want to create illegal situation, Do Not Delete, Change Or Remove that post.
We will not send you any e-mail again. This is our last Warning.
Planet Of Internet is absolutely clean right now. So remove, delete, change that post immediately.
Thanks And Regards. Pixoftware Ltd.
And my reply to this 'last warning'
2006/12/16, PixelDam pixeldam@gmail.com:
Hello anonymous,
I feel silly having to exlpain this to you, but the specific post you
are referring to is 'archived'. That means it is old news. There are no
active nor current accusations from us that you are violating
copyrights. Thus, there is no illegal situation on our behalf so stop
whining about it.
If you read the 'active' news on our home
page http://www.pixeldam.net/ you will see a new post about your
current situation and this conversation. But, alas, since you are all
wound up about it, I will take the trouble to update the archived post,
denounce the violation accusation and refer to the new article.
Best of wishes,
Barry Rijkse PixelDam Administrator
