I'm starting a new bigger project. It's from one of my favorite series.

Here is my quick sketch of Genos (from One Punch Man, great anime/manga).
Is there something to improve at anatomy or something else in sketch.

I want to hear you guys before I dig deeper into the picture.

I have one small thing to offer.
I get that the hand is much larger due to perspective and being closer to the "camera", but the width of the arm itself has remained relatively uniform down the entire length.

That's so true!

Is this better?

I'm not sure is is better that hand comes to straight to the camera or a little tilted to right.

Edit: Made shoulder bigger. Should it be even bigger?

I'm pretty sure that depends on the projection settings. I.e. instead of dividing X and Y by Z, you can find a curve that will give similar results to OP's one.

My suggestion is taking some reference points in 3d space and then project them onto the plane using your desired curve. That will clean it up a bit.

Okey, I chose to out line the latest version. Here is my progress:

Maybe torso is too long. And hood doesn't work. And ear is weird. I'll continue tomorrow.

Edit: right one is fixed version (+ colors + new hair)

What you guys think about shading? Should I add more colors or keep it simple?

Edit: more coloring
Left hand's place isn't perfect. *sigh*

i think arm perspective is better, but another problem that doesnt seem fixed is his arm seems way super long. i think the idea is there but execution is not yet believable. also everything just seems slightly off perspective. the eye gaze looks off wit hthe tilt of th head, the torso seems off with the head, the lower body seems turned inward too far when we should be seeing mostly the side of the legs.

basically the dawing is quite off and you need to stop worrying about rendering and detail and worry about improving your drawing first. it hurts to hear, but it'll be best for you in the long run.
l
besides al of that, im very much digging your character and style

You are right when I'm watching it after sleep. I fell into making pieces separately and not thinking whole piece.

I still don't like leg's shading, but couldn't make any better than that.
Hope this fixes some issues:

I'm ok with this. Criticism is welcomed but I won't fix it.
Hope you like it.
