HD seems you haven't finished this yet. The hair has no deatil just like her clothes.

I'll move this to the WIP section so you can get tips on how to make it submittable.

Most of the time it's just us moderators being picky, although there are decent enough reasons to be.

Your AAing (if that's what it is) is very off, i suggest you check out a tutorial so that 'puffy yet jagged' effect is lost (on the hair and body). The background could possibly be jazzed up a little, as it seems quite dull and distracts from the main part of the piece. Get some AAing in there, neaten it up a tad and perhaps add some more detail. I'm quite sure you'll be happy to see the result afterwards.

That wasn't AAing, I was just outlining this piece. And since this piece is based off of Mouse from Reboot, that's how the hair has to be. Also, I can't make much more detail to the shirt since I'm limited in colors, but I'll try.

I know it seems like I'm making excuses, but this was for a contest and the colors I am using are the only ones allowed. I will try to add some detail, though. And probably change the bg.

Thanks.

To be honest, I've seen much worse pieces accepted into the gallery, and I can't really see anything in piece which would bar it from the gallery. Her hair is meant to be one uniform colour, because that's the style she's rendered in on Reboot, as already said.

first thing I would do is get rid of those outlines. they really do nothing but hurt the piece. also her stomache looks abit too small for her broad shoulders.

edit: yeah an image wont help you that much i think..

the main things i think why it was not approved are its hair, and sketchyness of some parts (like eyes and shirt)

i know i took a step away from the original mouse design, but i think that the weird hair can be applied here aswell, and i just wanted you to show you some shading and a slightly more natural shape.

wrinkes - not that hard, envision where the twist is and how things would wrinkle, and where... if all else fails go find reference.

i allso gave her some more correct anatomy, and aligned the shading.

me out.

Hey. Original Mouse design looks like crap. Ugliest character I've seen for ages. So why couldn't you update the look a little bit? They do it all the time in the industry anyway.

Nice edit snader. Love that shirt.

Not now honey, I have a deadline.
