Hi

This position is now Filled.

My name is Chris Roper, the one and only person at Pug Fugly Games
http://www.pugfuglygames.com - Pug Fugly Games Website

I am looking to remake an old game of mine, "Return to Sector 9", which was reasonably popular in the Game Maker community back in 2007 or so....

Gameplay video of the original:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNqhdmHE9eg - Youtube clip (not posted by me)

The remake will be very similar, basically a twin stick arena shooter, initially for PC. But it will be much, much quicker than the original with far more variety in enemy behaviours etc. There'll be lots of bullets and explosions.

Basically I'm looking for somebody to help me out with graphics over the next year or so it takes to develop the game. I'm mostly interested in player / enemy sprites and bosses, collectables etc...

The job will probably evolve as it goes on, depending on how things go.

My immediate goal is to get something that'll look good on Steam.

This won't be anything like a full time job, it'll be something you can just dip into when you have a few spare hours here or there. Intially I'd be looking to get at least 1 player ship (32x32) and 3 or 4 enemies (32x32 to 64x64) done in the first few weeks.

Okay apologies for the vagueness of this, basically I need somebody who can spare a few hours a week to make cool space ships and aliens. In terms of style I'm thinking of bold, not too detailed. I will do a lot of the graphics myself such as explosions and lasers, but that might change is it goes on.

Okay enough waffle. Hopefully you've got a feel for what I'm after.

So please, send me a link to your work, and tell me how much I'll need to pay you and we can go from there.

Cheers all.

This position is now filled. Thanks to everybody who got in touch - I had quite a few high quality portfolios to get through but I am delighted to say that I found somebody who I believe is perfect for the job.
