Hey everyone I'm here on behalf of my dev group looking for an artist able to handle the design of the environment, we are currently wrapping up our proto-type/tech-demo where we have got all of our core mechanics completed and we are currently refining them and getting ready to get into the development of actual gameplay.
What we are looking for is an artist able to handle the design of tiles, background images, and a few other minor things. It would be a major asset if you are able to animate as many scenes may require it.
The current team consists of two designers (myself included), a character artist and three engineers.
There will be no strict requirements as this is a hobbyist group and we all put in as much time as we are able, and there will be no contracts to sign until we get close to completion where we plan to release.

Now the actual project.
Story Snippet: During a heated civil war on Velveleeta the protagonist comes across a
diabolical plan of the Guerilla faction to kill thousands of innocent
civilians. After foiling this plan the protagonist runs for their life
to escape the wrath of a powerful faction only to find themselves on the
planet Dynamis wrapped up in a heated struggle for survival between a
powerful alien hive-mind and the Guerilla faction.
Currently there is not much art done as the majority of the project is just code, but we do have a concept of the protagonist:

It is planned for the project to have a few hours worth of gameplay, and will revolve around realistic physics, intense firefights, and bosses with multiple ways to win.
