"A rare opportunity exists within the http://sivicity.com - SiviCITY development for a UI/UX designer able to create magnificent works of art" - Phillip Kilby
What is SiviCITY?
SiviCITY, the main project at http://devvy.me - Devvy.me , is an online virtual world.
Users connect, play and share. SiviCITY is a work in progress, which is
expected to be completed by Q1 2017.
At the time of writing, SiviCITY has undergone basic Alpha testing,
as a closed-test was conducted in November 2011. The client proved to be
a success however we hit a bump in the road with our team at the
time, and the basic frame of which SiviCITY had already been developed
on was then evaluated and work begun on a new, improved client in March
2015 with a new team. We aim to have finished Version 1 of SiviCITY by
early 2017. An invite-only Beta of SiviCITY has already started.
What can be done on SiviCITY?
Users, named 'Sivillians', inhabit the city and are allowed to either create their own personal Apartments, or hang out in Town Spaces.
In these virtual areas, users can communicate, add friends, chat and
trade items with each other. Users are allowed to purchase units of
virtual currency, Coins, which can be used to purchase virtual
furniture, membership of exclusive clubs, or rounds of games. Users will
also be able to create their own business and gain a secondary currency
called "experience". Using this, Sivillians can move up the social and
business scale by dominating their market or their area. The Sivillians
business will depend on their field of choice and also where they decide
to open their first shop. You could sell furniture, have a cafe, have
your own Casino* or your even your own hotel just to name a few. The options are endless!
Users can add friends which they can communicate with via built-in
messaging systems, or by inviting the users to the rooms they are in. What we need from Pixel Joint... We need a trustworthy, reliable team-player who is capable of drawing isometric pixel art who is capable of working under pressure towards deadlines set out by the team. Founders, Dan and I seek to deliver this MMOCC by the first quarter of 2017 next year. Our budget is minimal so we need to get the best bang for our buck. If you believe you are best suited to deliver affordable game assets that fit in with our current design, we'd love to hear from you. (our budget is constantly fluctuating given our incomes)
We require assets such as sprite clothing (8-directional), further sprite animation, maps, tile and wall textures and a vast array of furniture (4-directional). UI work is yet to be finalized.
