he's a short muscle-bound man with a sword that weighs 5 times more than he does. I've been playing around with the pallette in the last 2 versions on this progress image. I can't seem to get it just right. C+C away. I'm hopefully going to completely animate this dude for all sorts of verbs (running, jumping, idle, crouch, etc) to improve my portfolio.

hmmm, very little to c+c, but I'll see if I cant help you out. The progression is very nice, but whats up with the feet just cutting off? I guess his right foot is alright, but his left foot seems like there should be more to it's toes. I really like the last and 3rd to last versions' pallettes; the 2nd to last's palette seems too.. sunburnt. I think thats about all I can say for now.

Ace - it's inspired me. Wonderful palette.. The skin tone looks great. Not sure about a sword, perhaps a club, but other than that it's great.

Exellent! Nice anatomy!
My only qualm is, as Demon mentioned, the feet look a bit cut off.

It looks almost as if his belly sticks out farther than his chest. Maybe that's a problem, maybe not. You decide ;)

I don't like the reddish tones the last two versions have at all. Third
from right is the best. As usual, Sab and his awesome power of
observation calls it correctly with the belly (its a problem).
