I'm currently studying the sprites of the enemies from the DS Castlevania games to hopefully learn something, but this enemy called 'Ladycat' just confuses me no matter how I try to think about it.

The orange is most likely fur, but the green parts are what are confusing me. Those parts are not present in all of the sprites which makes it even more confusing. What is it supposed to be?

I think the green parts are meant to be clothing. Alternatively, the character just has green skin.

You might be right about the green begin skin as weird of a color choice it is. Actually, the way the fur is laid out on the character it seems like the fur itself is supposed to be it's 'clothes'. I mean look at it, it looks like it has boots, long gloves and a bodysuit.
