I'm new to pixel art, and it's my first time really getting into anything like this, so I'm not expecting to be producing anything amazing right now, but I'm really struggling. Reading this forum and some youtube videos I've picked up on things like jaggies, etc, and ways that will help me improve, but I don't really feel like I'm getting anywhere. I struggle to shape things out, and really do anything even in 32x32 canvases. What do you guys think I should do to get started? Is there any size I should be drawing in, things other than basic shapes that may be easier to draw and help me learn?

Can you post some of your work? Without knowing what you're struggling with, it's hard to give any advice.
Do you have any experience with drawing/painting outside of pixel art? A lot of the same skills (colour theory, composition, anatomy, etc) apply to both, so I recommend practicing drawing too! And it's easier to find these more "general" tutorials for other 2D media.

It's not really anything I could show with things I've made, it's really just making things in general, even just drawing a good outline that could work. I'll look into some normal drawing stuff, though.
