Okay, so first off, I drew this my self, using my own palettes, on my own designs (obviously modeled after the game) in MSpaint. It took me several months to complete and would appreciate not having my hard work insulted by calling it a screenshot. Anyhooo, I think that the lot looks kinda empty in places, but cant figure out what to put in to fill it out. A fence perhaps? I am trying to stay as faithful to the game as possible, so any suggestions that involve aspects from it will probably be used first. Your critique is thanked in advance.

Well, I don't know about the character sprites but the 'Pipe House' building is clearly not hand pixelled. Saying you spent months on the work doesn't mean you can just make up for something so obviously not pixelled.
Perhaps you saved your work in the wrong format? But honestly, show me a pixel artist that is talented enough to draw THIS and still not know how to save their work!
Oh yeah, and if this isn't hand pixelled, then its likely that its not your own work at all, and Pixel Joint takes ripping extremely seriously. http://www.pixeljoint.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=2293 - Please read this post then decide for yourself whether you're willing to defend your work in front of a group of angry pixel artists.

Firstly, it is 100% hand pixeled, and secondly, the pipe house is modeled directly after the one in the game (which I had set up on a TV beside my comp when I drew it)... DIRECTLY. So yes, it is the same, or at least as close to the same as I could manage. Although, I do agree with pixeljoint’s opinions on rippers, your comment gave me zero constructive criticism, and a multitude of personal attacks. In the future please refrain from commenting on posts that specifically ask for helpful additions to a work, unless you have a literal suggestion and helpful suggestion.
Also, for the comment that I am talented for drawing something so complex... thanks, I think? But anyone can draw like this if they are willing to spend night after night getting it just right.
And I once again ask that future replies do not question my credibility. It is from a video game, so yes, if I did it well, it should be the same. Nuff’ said.

Look. Don't, you won't win. People are very entitled to their opinions, and we've clearly established in the past that we don't take kindly to people who come to our forums and throw their tongue around.
Take the edge off your voice, accept the fact that people will not believe this is truly pixel art, and SHOW that it really is.
If you bitch more, I'll start bitching as well, and things will get rather ugly. I'd like to avoid that, so I'm going to suggest you show some steps going in to this, or some other work you've done.
I'd like to point out that you worked on it for months while it was on your TV beside your computer while you drew it. That's a long time to have one image on the TV, no? Also, TVs don't have zoom. In a second I'll find a screenshot of the actual house and compare it. THEN I'll decide whether or not you're lying.
Because my decision means so much -cough-
-edit- THE VERDICT: Get out of my sight, you're a disgrace to humanity.
There is a screenshot of the original house, flipped horizontal. Note how the shading and highlights of objects matches exactly what he's "done" The words "Pipe House" must have been done (somehow), I'll give him that, but other than that I find it incredibly hard to believe that he pixelled this from a picture on his TV over months time this accurately. Please, leave and don't say another word.
-edit again-
Ha, you shrunk and colourreduced. All highlights and shading match. Also, you said you made your own palettes, and yet the colours are so very close to each other, between the two screenshots. And if you were doing it from the game, why the HELL would you flip it horizontally while drawing it? You make me laugh, you do. People can be so f**king retarded.

Another point to add to Mr. Saboteur's case is that you've stated elsewhere in your gallery that you just completed your first pixel art work, and it was dated this week. So I ask you, how could you have spent 'several months' working on this pixel art when you'd never even pixelled until this week?!
Unfortunately that piece of evidence no longers exists, as I imagine you deleted it from your gallery to cover your ass.

Well, I had no intention to seem combative in my previous comment(s?). I bear no ill will to my fellow artists, and see no reason to raise our digital voices. However, my point remains, I have received no actual suggestions/help on my initial query, and anyone who wishes to help me instead of attacking me, would be greatly appreciated.
Also, the "process" consists of me creating and then comparing the colour/shape I have just made, and then fixing it if it is not right.
as per your request my other work with snes sprites(a sample of): Final Fantasy III:

Bomberman 5 gold edition:

Contra 3:
[I have another one without the bulllets of the other guy, but there is no need to post that=P]
Harvest Moon:
Mike Tyson's Punch Out(not snes, but still great):
Super Mario World:
Please let it be known that this is only a portion of my original picture cache because my other computer recently died with half of thema. also let it be known that the only reason why I was doing these for months was because I had a broken leg and coulden't leave the house!

Ever heard of AA? It's the technique "you used" in "your" pipehouse frequently. However, it seems rather absent from these little sprites "you've created".
I actually did offer some suggestions, in case you failed to notice. It included things like "Please, leave and don't say another word.".
Having a broken leg, contrary to popular belief, does not prevent you from leaving the house. The wonders of things like crutches and perseverance tend to strike about the same time as such thoughts arise, rendering such an excuse obsolete.
Also, if you were to "spend night after night getting it just right", then why the hell would you need criticism? I gave you the most useful bit of advice I most likely ever will, and that was PROVE you can create this quality work. Orignality, also highly prized. Until you make something original and awesome, I'll not don a kind tone in your presence.
I really don't care to check to see that you've stolen those sprites from other places. I'm just going to assume you did.
YAP. You're annoying. One of thems that thinks 'cause they sound smart they can get away with sh*t like this.
Oh, and add shadows to "your" characters as you've got for "your" house. Why you decided to put the lame little circle beneath them is beyond me.

Pixel Joint would rather it's members were original artists. You may rip from games in your own time, but do not show it or ask for critisism from the other members here about it. Here we will kindly help you in creating any original work. Perhaps you are just confused, but you seem not to realise that copying another artists work exactly is called ripping, as is slightly editing it in the process.
I am led to believe that none of the pieces on this page are your original work. If you wish to continue as a member here, please create a new WIP thread with one of your own works, and we can help you there. You must respect the fact that many of the members will hold a grudge about this, so it will take time to be accepted properly into the community.
Thread closed.
