I started making pixel art in Photoshop and moved from using that to using Aseprite some time ago. Both Photoshop and Aseprite have a feature (I don't know what it's called) where if you're drawing a line you can hold "shift" after placing a pixel and upon the next mouse click the program will complete the path for you (due to having shift held down).

Does Grafx2 have this sort of feature available? I don't really want to use the line tool, I like being able to alternate between placing single pixels/drawing freehand shapes and drawing straight lines quickly.

(I hope the explanation of what I'm looking for isn't too confusing!)

Yes, that function works just like in asesprite and photoshop in Grafx2, just hold shift! That works fine in freehand drawing or when using brushes.
I do personally like to use the line tools a lot and have all my quick access tools under WASD.. D for pencil, shift+d for line. (w for undo, shift w for redo, a & s for fill & colorpicer)

You can swap between freehand and line via shortkeys. If the default 'D' and 'L' isn't practical enough, you can set your own preferred shortkeys in help/statistics-->help
