Hi all,
Thought I'd post a finished piece here. Was a 3-week gig through Cartuna, a US animation agency for Vice News' documentary on 8Chan, I found @Christoballs on these forums who helped me with the 2 more realistic 'Paul Robertson' style shots:

Both pixel inserts appear in the first 5 mins of the doccie.
Christopher did a fantastic job of rendering the rough animatic shots into lovely finished shots.
For the Sonic section, I found the sprites online and edited them in Pixaki and Photoshop and animated in Toon Boom Harmony.
