I'm looking to discuss with somebody about doing pixel art for my video game. The game is based on a world of pirates in the 17th Century. A good stylistic guide for the game would be similar to Stardew Valley, I like nice tones it has in the trees and such. I like the quirkiness of the game Monkey Island, as our game will include similar strange things, and we want somebody who has a creative mind when it comes to this.
The project is a solo project for me, so to begin with I'm just looking for a few assets which I'll list below, but I will be looking for more assets over time.
I'm looking for the following assets;
- A young man character, who strives to be a the greatest pirate like his father
- Grass tile map, with ocean and also sand beaches.
- A pier/dock
- Around 3 different buildings
- And some various things like, boulders and trees and grasses.

My main concern is finding the right artist who can breath life into this world, and help me create a believable world, something a bit different and hone in on the style we're after.
