Hello everyone!
I was looking at the new screenshots from the upcoming game witchbrook from Chucklefish. I really love the aesthetics of the game and decided to try something similar to practice. The thing is I have just started with pixel art and I'm still not sure how the tilemap of an isometric RPG looks like. I'm afraid I will make mistakes and lose a lot of time without a clear one.
Does anybody know of a good tutorial or reference for me to follow?

Thank you!

There is no shortcut, and you probably have to learn a lot of different skills to understand how those backgrounds were created. Perhaps a tutorial might help you to reproduce the content in the tutorial, but applying that to the Witchbrook style is perhaps not straightforward.
Anyway, you might find something useful in http://lospec.com/pixel-art-tutorials/tags/tiles - this tutorial list :)

I know it won't be easy, but it is a good goal to aim at.
Is the link working? It isn't on my end.

edit: I could get in, thanks!

What is so special about the witchbrook art? It looks very clean and sterile with very high contrast and bright palette. Objects appear plastic. Akin to Habbo Hotel or eBoy posters. Hard to look at for any prolonged period of time. At least for me. But I get headache just from the words "Habbo" and "eBoy" themselves.

Here is for example much nicer art by Fabian from Crystal Kingdoms:

Sorry for the confusing link, it's fixed now!

I think Witchbrook doesn't look so bad at all!

Witchbrook art is fantastic in its own category; not to mention it's even possible Fabian might have worked on this as well, since he's in close contact with Chucklefish.

Not all art has to look identical; this one follows Stardew Valley's cartoon-ish art in a more refined way which is cool.
