Hello fellow Pixel Joint users
Today I have something to offer you that has been sitting on my shelf for a few years now. I doubt many, if any of you, have ever heard of Guilded.gg. The platform was founded as a competitor to Discord, intended to offer everything Discord offers (including the stuff gated behind its Nitro subscription) plus some neat new features, all for pretty much free! In addition to text and voice channels, there's Announcement channels that read like blog posts; Calendar channels where people can create and sign up for events; Scheduling channels where people can log their available time for activities; Forums channels that work like all other forum sites; Docs channels that allow people to write whatever they want; and Media channels where people can post their art without losing it to walls of text. And that's just the channel variety! Some other things they offer: - Anyone can use any emoji from any server anywhere! - Profiles! Customize your bio, add links to external social media, update your social status, and more! - Sort out your server into groups! In addition to channel categories, you can further diversify your community with groups dedicated to games and other activities! - Self-assignable roles, so you don't have to deal with a pesky bot or moderator not giving you the role when you ask for it! - Server banners and descriptions, with a server overview to boot!
