- It is a design based on a fighting game character's moves, will need input on creative aspects from the artist.
- It must adhere to copyright laws, we have ideas on how to make that work. The character itself can not be pictured for example.
- The T-Shirts will be sold for a small streamer to help him get funding for fighting game tournaments travel. (I am not the streamer just helping him out).
- I'd like to give out info in replies to DM rather than post it publicly. This is not to be difficult but just for privacy. I have worked as a freelancer so I understand the need to be minimal and focused in communication for a job well done.
- I have brainstormed with the streamer already so we have ideas and the
artist can go from there and add their own spin to it as long as it's
thematic with what we are trying to accomplish. DM and I can send you more detailed info and you can make your quote based on that :)
- The artwork will be pixelart and it will likely include depictions of fire, ice, fish like animals, bubbles or some combination thereof. It will also have pixelated text either above or below the image. It isn't looking to be too busy, just clear with an obvious reference, and possibly funny.
3. What skills do you expect from the artist - They should have the ability to make good pixel art and understand what would look good on a T-shirt.
- Ability to typeset any of the text on the T-Shirt and style it well also appreciated.
- I would like to see examples of the artists work and also typical rates.
4. Paid or not? and salary info
Paid but I have a limit to what I can offer, capping at $250. I am willing to work with the artist on time spent and simplicity of design/art. I will give 50% down and 50% on completion for artists that have done work here before and I can trust to not run off with 50%, otherwise it will be paid on completion. Please link your prior works for the 50% down and give a payment method. I'm also open to any service suggestions on how work is usually paid for here.
The artist will be fully credited and linked to in any place of sale as part of the deal.
A reminder this is for a T-Shirt that will be sold for a small streamer to raise travel funds for fighting games, so if you think the offer for that isn't fair please speak up and I'll see what I can do.
