Hi,

We are working on an old-school RPG in the style of Wizardry 7/Eye of the Beholder (we already work with some artists from this forum actually).

The game is 2d grid-based movement dungeon crawler.

Now, we talked about offering players an option to actually explore 3d world with smooth (but still grid-based) movement (like Legend of Grimrock).

So, we are looking for 3d artist that is able to convert our 2d "walls" textures into Retro-looking low resolution 3d objects.

It's paid position, though we are stretching our budget a lot as it is, so please only apply if you are willing to do this for "indie" friendly prices.

If we are a good fit, then it would be quite a large order (100+ "walls" and a few 10s of outdoor objects like wells, signs, ...) during the next few months.

For the ballpark - we were thinking about offering 15€ for conversion of a simple walls like underground muddy walls and 25€ for more complex "walls" (like trees outside).
As I said - we don't really know how much work this is for experienced artist so these are only "ballpark" prices.

If any of you are interested, then contact me over on jobs[at]megavision-software.com
You can check the game in development (and see how it looks with 2d walls) on the same domain, so www.megavision-software.com

Thanks and I hope to hear from some of you.

Hello :) This sounds like a great subject for me. I have sent you message with examples of such 2D into 3D conversions. Hope to hear from you soon.
