CHALLENGE: April Fools 2026

This time we decided to give you two weeks for the challenge. We will simply not close it next week, but leave it open for another one. However, if the challenge will not be widely inspirtaional to many pixel artists, we will be asking on discord if anyone is still working on their entry and need another week, and if no one confirms we will close the challenge normally to get back to normal challenge schedule without any delay. If you are not on discord, but sill wish to comunicate to us that you need the second week, write it here, under this challenge.

Rules for anyone who is new to this PJ tradition:

1) Choose an artist you like, you admire, you stalk or you just want to mess with.
2) Create an artwork imitating their style, techniques, colour choices, and/or themes.
3) Pretend they are the author of that piece.



Canvas Size - Imitate the choices of your prank victim.
Colors - Imitate the choices of your prank victim.
Transparency - Imitate the choices of your prank victim.
Animation - Imitate the choices of your prank victim.

CHALLENGE RULES

  • Participants have until this upcoming Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) to /pixels/submit_icons.asp'>submit their entry (strict). Don't forget to check the 'Submit to weekly challenge' checkbox.
  • Only new pixels allowed.
  • Open to all members.
  • Posting WIPs in this thread or in new threads in the /forum/forum_topics.asp?FID=8'>WIP section is highly encouraged, but ONLY SUBMIT YOUR FINAL ART.

CHALLENGE JUDGING

  • Every Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) the previous week's entries are judged.
  • Every week a new voting poll will be posted for previous week's entries.
  • Winner announced the following week.

CHALLENGE PRIZES/GOODIES

  • Top three finishers will receive an award displayed in your PJ gallery profile for all to see and envy.
  • Top finisher gets to suggest a future week's challenge. If you're a winner and you wish to submit your idea, send a message to https://pixeljoint.com/p/27498.htm' target='_blank'>Gecimen.
  • 'Participation' ribbons will be given for all who enter.
  • No matter what happens you get challenged :)
