The problem is that nobody know the autor of that butter jelly time banana.

That's why I have no references.

No, I'm the only noob here!

And my schnubie is better than that rare spaltpixel.

Schnauzer, the point is not "better than" we are not in a competition. The point that was made was to refer to the original inspiring piece.

Now I will try in the worst Spanish (no comments from dra_chan of Filax, mkay)

No tomes offensas ninguna. amigos?

for 1, better or not better is not the point here.  the point is you used a very well known web icon for reference but did not state to that fact.  even if yours was better, splatpixel diserves the respect and recognition for his work.

besides, this isnt a debate.  if you want your art allowed in the gallery, you need to proveide your reference.

Ok, I understand but... where I can find those references?

And remember that I only made a similar dancing stile in a totally diferent character.

Schnauzer. Listen.

In the description area, note that the piece is highly influenced by Splatpixel's work of the banana dancing.

That is all.

Ok ok, excuse my poor english and please tell me what splatpixel is?

Another little favor: Explain me what is the "Keywords" option for in the pixel art submission page.

Splatpixel is a wellknown pixel artist. You can see their account on PJ http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixels/profile.asp?id=1778 - here .

Keywords means words which will help someone who is searching for something to find what it is. For example if the pixel art was a smiley face you'd put 'smiley, face, yellow' etc. as the keywords.

You can just leave it blank though.

Huh, did SplatPixel really make the banana? I got the impression he was only talking about the blue/green guy on the left when he said it was one of his first sprites.

I have PMd splat in the hopes he takes a second to reply here and settle the matter once and for all. I think his choice of words "one of the very first sprites I ever did." imply that the left one is a new version based on his original. Place your bets!

I use the date as reference because is strange he doesn't said nothing about the original dancing banana sprite. Is I be (inf future?) the owner of that famous sprite I will say it to everybody at first.

Forgive my english...

PD: Why this topic is not closed if all of my other relly are?

I see to live here is so hard for noob like me.

I'm going to go ahead and say that you sir, are being silly.
You've asked more questions your first few days than a virgin asks before sex.

As for your art.
I am too confused to think about it due to your noobishness.

Schnauzer, This should be locked and will be. I am hoping splat replies to this soon to end the matter. It seems there is some curiosity about the originator of the banana sprite and it would be great to know the answer. This thread no longer has anything to do with your art. We DO like it, its cute and you did a great job on it. Please stop making any comments on this thread or we'll never know. thanks.
