So I posted some pixelart I wanted to use as avatar on this forum. I checked the 'allow use as avatar' and submitted it.
It got accepted, so naturally I want to now choose it as an avatar ... lo and behold, it says n/a where one needs to pick it as an avatar in the gallery. Did I do something wrong, or [and do excuse me if this is the case] did I not read something that tells me how this works ? cheers, Eq |

Your piece is 65x65 pixels big, the maximum avatar size is 64x64. Also, the box you checked is only necessary if you want to allow other people to use it as their avatar. Artists can always use their own pieces as their avatar (if it's the proper size of course). ------------- |

aw bugger, you gotta be kidding me LOL I seriously thought I had the dimensions nailed. so if the dimensions are right, I can automatically use it as avatar then huh ?

Yep, as long as the preview image (or 'small' image) is 64x64 or smaller you can use it as your avatar, even before it's been accepted to the gallery, whether or not you've allowed others to use it aswel. -------------  http://larw-ck.deviantart.com">

coolio, changing that now. Still can't believe I bodged up the dimension. I swear I doublechecked it ...
must've been some 'wishfull' thinking going on or something. edit: ah will you look at that ... brilliant
