I want to have a say in this, but you guys did most the work. I only
suggested the idea. XD All I can say is great work. It all looks very
swell.

TakeOut: dude, you totally inspired this great idea. You did the planting, I did the growing and blooming, and Sedge did the beer drinking and watering. .. what a lame analogy I know.

supadude: post your room in a new thread so we can all see what you mean.

supadude: also make sure that you didn't miss a pixel on the sides somewhere. The size of your room must be 194x154.
I have a question. I submited mine but for the icon I uploaded my NG avatar ( http://pixel4pixel.ampedhost.com/pixelart/Other/NG2.gif - link ) I hope that's okay, because I didn't know what the icon was for

I don't have any problem with that. Do you pixelblink? Any suggestions on how we can make that easier for people?

Lol, if I knew what the icon was for I would think of some suggestions... Is it just for your reference?
EDIT: Alright I clicked around in the Joint and suddenly decided to click on the names of the appartments and realized that the icons are just for the gallery thumbnails. So then that means that in my gallery it will show my NG logo but when you click on it, it will show the appartement... Hmm. I should change that :P
EDIT2: Suggestion: Maybe have a small description about what that small image is for. Since it automatically uploads to your gallery.

It's hard to describe because the small image isn't necessarily a "thumbnail"... a detail image isn't even necessary if the file is smaller than 100x100. I'll try and make it more clear.

I know what you mean now. Sorry, I was only confused because I thought that the submition for The Joint was a totally different form from submitting to the gallery (seeing how I've never even used the gallery )
It's like on deviant art. They also have a "thumbnail" thing. I get it
Another question If it says "Awaing for Approval" next to the icon in my gallery, does that mean that an admin (sedge ) Has to manually approve of it?

Every piece of pixel art is either approved or sent back for revision. There are several reasons for requesting revisions -- most of which are a direct response to not following a submission rule.
Currently, there are six admins who have access to these tools although two of the admins are not really active.

yeah, we own your ass! lol ... jk
The small file will be the thumbnail for yuor image if the image is larger than 100x100 sooooo, it would be good to make that file a representation of the larger image

HELP! I'm trying to upload my rooms but i keep getting an error messange.
"New icons require a valid GIF or PNG file."
They are Gif !!! I even saved them as PNG format and still the same message !!??
What am I doing wrong? Any help would be awesome.

The error message is misleading... it's probably because the small file you are uploading is larger than 100x100. The detail file can be any size, but the small file has to be 100x100 or smaller.

A small file (thumbnail) is required for pieces larger than 100x100 so you need to make a little thumb for your pieces...
If that isn't the issue PM me and I'll give you my email address to send the files.

pixelblink ...
I have a little advice for "balcony" area ... in "The Joint"-preview have stone wall for balcony parapet ... I think can make this parapet with other elements ! In that case "The Joint" will have more visible "balcony" area ... and more interesting style !
Otherwise ... Pixelblink and Sedgemonkey congratulations for project "The Joint" :)
Now I go and make room and balcony :)

Parapet? I've never seen that word before. Had to look it up. I will make a separate template for the parapet when I get a chance. I like layering the different templates and that would just be another cool element that people could make their own.
Good idea zi.

Zi : check your messages.
I've got it all in my head at the moment but, I have planned to make a main floor and a roof. The concept of having sub-levels is great as well. I'm down for doing something up

no... if you don't have access to transparency in your current program, I suggest picking up another or a free program such as Giffy
