Im mostly looking for crits on the animation, but crit whatever you want.
It's just a body right now. Im not really sure where im going with this...I just wanted to try it. Hopefully tires and some simple framework will follow.

Other than jaggiies I find no errors. Of course the jaggies will dissappear when details are added so no problems at all. The monter truck is awesome.

Well I could always AA the worst of the jaggies.
I added some simple tires. It looks as if their shape change is quite noticable, hopefully details will hide that too.

I decided to redo the cars. I didn't really put effort into the first ones lol.
(image removed)
I not sure if i'll damage them or leave them as is. Or maybe add damage in an animation.

This looks great so far rodder! The newer cards do look better. Can't wait to see the completed rotation of the monster truck.

Here's a preview of the 2nd animation I decided to do along side the rotation.

Amazing, when the second tire goes over, you should make the dent bigger.

That anim is WAY too fast compared to the speed they do that IRL. The tilting and damage looks good, though. Also, it looks almost like it isn't really on the cars, but above them. That might just be me though.

It's supposed to be above them. It hits the first car, gets air over the second and bounces on the third (also im missing a 4th angle where the truck comes off the cars).
But again its just a preview so the final animation will be much more refined, plus better/realistic damage.

wow, that going over the car ani is great rod. I think once the truck shadow goes over the cars it will fix any "irl" oddities.
On the turning truck tire question. Once the tire details, tracks and rims, are in It will look smooth.
ps: damm you rodder, still waiting for something to seriously crit.

I mostly finished the angles needed for the final jumping animation.
As to something to crit, don't look too hard. Since this is really difficult, I pretty much threw accuracy out the window from the start.

It looks like it's just roatating back and forth. Maybe add some more obvious shock obsorbtion?

It is just rotating back and forth. I tried a little shock obsorbotion but it is barely visible in the final animation.

looking mighty good ... just some thoughts (ignore them if they're intended but not present yet)
- I would think the body would have a different tilt timing then the wheels (because of aforementioned shock-absorbtion)I think that if you give it a fraction of offset in time it would give the desired impression of the wheels taking the hit after which the body follows
-needs second denting on the 1st car for the rear wheels
-it looks as though the rear slides of the last car instead of hitting it and rolling of ...
- shadows
- theres a weird dark area on the first cars dent that disappears once the rear passes

I think the front end should stay up a bit longer after it hits the cars.

I tried to address most of the crits. The only part im still missing is rotating wheels, but I don't have the patience for that right now.
Unless anything is really wrong, I think im going to call this my final version.

ON the final hit on the 3rd car, the truck front should bounce upwards one last time imo. As I feel it still has inertia downwards, which gets turned into upwards inertia from the suspention's springs...
I love how you drew all the angles and such, it's amazing! Working on this kind of stuff just makes me want to just pull my hair out... If I did a project like this I think I'd be bald by the time I finished, mulletless :P.

I think that the truck falls down onto the final car too fast, it seems like the frame skips to it almost, and obviously you haven't made the wheels turn ;o.
All in all it looks really great :D

Looks awesome, but now Souly has pointed it out, the fact it points back down so suddenly is really bugging me. D:

@ Draco9898 - I would like a bounce, but id probably have to draw another frame/angle to make it look good :(. Also due to speed and weight it really wouldnt bounce that much. I tried playing with the shocks, but they're mostly unoticable in the animation.
@ Ragzouken - Here is the skipped frame so the landing isn't as abrupt.
(image removed)
@ Larwick - Since soulys comment, I added 3 extra "up" frames. With only 3 cars to clear it can't stay up any longer, otherwise it looks like it stalls.

Just 2 things; Will the flame paint be added? Also should the tire tracks not appear as it rolls?
ps: the breaking headlight is an awesome detail

I wasnt planning on adding the paint. If I do, it'll be more realistic with a logo/graphics etc but for right now im going to leave it plain.
As to the tire tracks, they now appear behind the truck. I should have done it the first time, but i was too lazy.

one crit, the tracks that appear when landing, appear as if the truck had just driven in a staright line, without the cars being there. maybe move the landing tracks further out.

Yeah, just extending the area a bit longer, so the truck can go futher, so it looks like a real run.
Other than that, it's awesome.

I'd have the truck moving going faster but have it slow a bit when it's up in the air but make sure it's over all moving quicker.
... if that makes any sense. :S
