So I draw males pretty much never, and I've been looking at this long enough that I think I've lost my ability to see the flaws in his anatomy (which I'm sure are there).
Ignore the genitals, they're just there cause not having them would really throw me off while figuring out his anatomy, but they're fairly unimportant, as this is another base, and I doubt he'll ever be pantless in any finished piece.
Anyway, I've done the lines and roughed in shadows, and I'd like some C&C on his anatomy, particularly the proportions and muscles further muscle definition such as around his stomache and rib area will be added in once any major anatomy corrections have been dealt with.
I suspect the hands may be slightly large, but I've tweaked them and cut them down as much as possible, so unless anyone has some very specific suggestions on how to improve them, they're likely to stay as-is.

I really don't see any problems, but I am definitely not the authority on male anatomy, though I do love to draw males. /shrug. Really awesome for just a doll base, though.

:P Maybe later I'll do a pose with him flexing or something - just for you Souly. Grr, manly man! XD

I don't think Souly's being homophobic. :P If it's anything, it's sexist (sexism and homophobia can go hand in hand in some instances), but I doubt he meant it in that way (just to clarify).
I think it's awesome you included genitalia. People are usually all squeemish about it, which is annoying to me. My only issue with it is his penis looks a little straight. Usually they're slightly curved.
But maybe someone who actually has a penis can comment. XD

The penis will be more organic and natural looking once it's shaded I think. I don't know that I can make any curve look not jaggy or overly curved when it's only 10px long. X3

I think it looks fine overall. However, even for such a lanky male the biceps area seem a bit too skinny. I don't really mean more muscle is needed just a bit more mass from the elbow to the shoulder. Another thing is that most lanky males tend to have a more circular chest than such an angular one as you show. Perhaps if you add a hint of a six pack stomach then the chest can stay this square. Of course with someone this thin there should be some hip bone definition. The way the shadowing on the belly where it meets the groin is too potrudy. I would also think with the rear leg bent a bit as it is the bottom of the feet should be a little higher up to allow for perpective. One last thing is the testicles should "hang" more they appear very high up. I am not at all qualified to crit anatomy so ignore as needed.

I've started defining his physique a little more - did this mostly before I saw jalonso's feedback so the only bit of that I've implemented is moving the foot up a couple of pixels, and smoothing out the shading on his belly. Ignore the dithering - I don't like the texture it creates so I'll be adding another intermediary colour to replace it if that area looks right and needs that shading to flatten the stomach.
I'm not sure about making the arms thicker - I had to slim them down from my original sketch since they were too bulky to go with his legs. I'll play around and see if increasing them by a pixel looks better.
Anyway, any additional thoughts on the updated version?

he's got kind of a stubby penis =/ and he looks circumsized as well
i'd lose the black lines that are not the outline (eg on his chest and knee)

most babies are circumsized at birth (at least in america). Maybe you mean UNcircumsized?

:shrugs: Most guys I know have circumcized penises and aren't overly large when they're flaccid. As I said earlier, I'm more concerned about the rest of his anatomy, the penis is just there cause it'd be weird not to have one, but it will almost certainly be covered up later.
The black lines will be disappearing completely, once I have defined the shading a little more.

His right bicep seems to come to an extreme point, unlike the left. I would also agree that the biceps are generally too thin both from lack of muscle and fat. He seems quite muscular, yet very skinny.

I made his arms slightly thicker and tried to make the shape of his biceps a little more consistent. Any better/worse? Can you tell at all?

I can't define it precisely but the armpit area and how the tit/shoulder meet/blend just looks wrong somehow.

He needs 'wings', these are muscles you can feel attatched to your armpit's backside from your shoulder, it allows you to move your shoulder upwards.

I don't think you should add too much enphasis to those lateral muscles
(the "wings"), after all, he looks to be of a slim build, and such
muscles usually don't show up except on body builders.
Here, i tweaked the pectorals a bit. The lower pec line should be less
round, or it'll look like man-breasts. Note how the side of the pec
muscle seems to stretch to connect to the shoulder muscle (deltoid),
like in the reference snader posted. Also, i don't think you'll need
the black lines, except on the outline.

Nice. I don't know much about dolls but it seems to me that this pose is particularly suitable for one -- it somehow suggests that he's admiring his latest outfit in a full-length mirror. ;)
There's something about the head/neck that looks very feminine to me, though. I think maybe the neck should be wider (where it meets the head), like this:
Edit: Well, maybe not quite that much, now that I look at it. :P But I think there might be a happy medium.

Thanks so much for the feedback everyone. I've done my best to implement the suggestions I've received. I think this is pretty much done for the moment, but please feel free to give addition criticism, as I may revisit this piece in the future, and I'm sure it will help me on any other male drawins I decide to tackle in the future.

It looks very nice. My only gripe is that the right foot's toes' foreshortening is a bit weird.

His penis is too small imo, but as you said it will get covered up. My only other suggestion is the dithering on the gut. Either dither the whole piece or not at all. Great use of pallettes :D

There something about the shading on his right foot (with the writing near it). The light's generally coming from above, and the top surface of the foot is faceing upwards right? So it should be recieving light. The way it is now makes it appear as if his foot is pointing vertically down with an odd shape.
I disagree with Feron about the dithering; sometimes one needs a shade between two colours and only need it in certain parts, there's nothing wrong with that, especially if the two dither colours are very close to each other.

I'll see if I can soften up the shading on the top of his foot, though I do note from various reference photos I've looked at, if the inside of the foot is closer to the lightsource there tends to be a fair amount of shadow around the top of the foot, even if the lighting is somewhat from above. I think I know how to fix it up.
I was going to eliminate the dithering, but I decided to leave it in. It creates a softer gradient for that area, keeps my colour count down, and I think the texture is rather appropriate for that area, as he's hairless and freshly shaved skin tends to be slightly bumpier.

I like this base very much. The dolling world surely needs more non tool/pillow shaded, quality bases like this one.

Thanks Dra. Honestly Alejav, I probably won't make a dressed piece with this. I enjoy pixeling nudes, I find clothes and hair tedious and I have a folder full of half finished dolls that I will probably never get around to finishing.
Give it a hard refresh - I updated the file a bit - made his hands a tiny bit smaller, tweaked the shading on the top of his foot after looking at some more references, and moved his pecs down a pixel to reduce the amount of space between the top of his abs and the bottom of his pecs. I also made some miniscule changes to his mouth which I think make him more attractive.
Hopefully these changes are an improvement ^^
I'm working on a female counterpart with matching shading and proportions. So far, she's just in the sketch stage but coming along fairly well.

Well you're excellent at doing nudes, and it's definately a genre of art that I feel is underrpresented and underrated, espeically when it comes to nude males that look normal. If you need any sort of references or inspiration, I can find you some awesome photography you may be inspired by.
