Project Shakespeare

Project Shakespeare is a working title for the worlds first theatre simulator.

It is NOT a Theme/Sim Game, in fact it isn't a game per say, it simulates the on-stage action rather than the business side.

The player designs the sets and costumes (or uses pre-made ones) using a built in editor, writes the scripts (using an easy-to-use scripting language) and compiles it all into a single file.

Other users can then download the file and watch the plays using the viewing software.

I am not sure how successful this could be but I feel it would create a new outlet for creative people to express themselves.

The simulator will use 2D isometric graphics to show the plays.

In Need

We need quality pixel artists who do isometric tiles or sprites, the work is non-paid although since this is the first of it's kind this project has potential to become big and will give the artist(s) in question good experience and something good to put on a CV.

Wow, sounds like an interesting game. I'm not much of an iso pixeler so I can't help you, but good luck with the project.

Update 28 Sept 2006: Just for clarification - The user does not have to animate every action - the program will have downloadable "action" files which the engine merges with the actors to show the animation, users will be able to create and upload these action files to a database and search for ones which they need.
