Gameloft, a leading worldwide publisher of games for mobile phones, is seeking to recruit a talented 2D “Pixel Artist” & Graphic Designer for our studio in Barcelona (Spain).
Your Mission
On joining the artistic department, your mission will be to take charge of graphic production within a project team (Game Designers, Game Developers, Producer), from the design phase right through to finalization.
We are mainly looking for people with good all-round experience (applications from self-taught candidates will also be accepted).
Your Profile
We are looking for highly motivated individuals, with a passion for video games.
You should have a very good basic knowledge of animation, a solid grounding in academic drawing and be good at sketching (any drawing or comic strip experience would be welcome).
From a technical point of view, you should master Photoshop and/or Promotion perfectly (and/or other drawing software).
You must have already done “pixel” work (low-resolution computer graphics – “2D video games, sprites, icons or even web design”).
Any knowledge in the following areas will be a plus:
- Esthetical criteria: knowledge about references or artistic schools that allow for establishing general style guides.
- Fluent in English
- Flash animation
- Ability to work with 3DS Max at low-poly.
The job will be located in Barcelona, Spain.
