Okay I read some tutorials and looked at some art and here is my first isometric picture. Please help me get better by being honest and brutal about whatever amateur mistakes I've made. Thanks in advance!

I quite like this. It flows nicely, nice colors, and I love the wave painting on the wall.

Great job.

The only thing i dont like about this piece is, the dark line where the
blanket hangs over the bed. to me it seems a tad too dark, but
suppose thats just me

This room has a nice calm feel to it. The only thing that looks off so far are the wires coming out from the picture.  How often do you see that?

Sedgemonkey: do you mean how often in real life do you see wires or how often in isometric art? I guess in real life it's not too common, but it does occur, and in iso....I have no idea!

xtremetom: thank you for your kind advice about the colours of the blanket. It has been fixed in the version below.

a friend of mine who does pixel art suggested I work on the pillows too, so I did, any comments? like the new ones better?

and what to put in that lower corner?!?!?! A desk and chair? If so can someone please give me some pointers because I don't know how to draw a chair!!

and the BIG question, is this good enough to submit to the apartment project. Be honest, harsh, etc. because I prefer that to embarassing myself by submitting it and getting rejected!!

here it is.....

those pillows look a bit flat also, there should be some highlighting lines on the end tables. other than that, pretty damned solid for your first try.

In details you use black outlines this isn't badly, but maybe must change some black lines which are in the objects, like: pictures, cupboard ...

Your end of carpet for me are rather big ... as balls ?

Another think is big picture ? she is too big ... in parallel with the bed ...

Some peoples say "pillows look a bit flat", because your black outlines have more contrast with outlines of pillows ... use a more dark colours for outlines of pillows and for onother details as slippers ...

Now you use blue and violet colours ... for me they are rather the same ...

For end ... think about details as: handle, clock, pleat of bed or carpet ets.

I'm not great at giving suggestions without being able to show you sooooo... i put together a small animated revision of the end table to show you what I think. I will attempt to try and revise your pillows to show you how to make em better too.

I hope this helps. The little tutorials shows some of the basic isometric guides that were missed. Pay attention to the pink highlights and hopefully it'll explain itself. Watch first... ask questions later
