Amazing job on the mouth and nose!
You captured a really difficult expression very well.

Very nice work, this is extremely great pixel art!  That line of hair on the top right with the space between it and the rest of her hair isn't needed fully at all.  All I could find wrong with the picture.

This is my example, I hope you don't mind the small edit.

i made some progress, mainly on the hair, and i did a quick contrast-upper

Yar - thanks
Cpaw - i'd like to keep in loose strands of hair to achieve a fluffy feeling, and not make the hair look like 1 big clump  and no. i dont mind edits. all are welcomed

Chin looks a little wide.
Hair is a little light, maybe down the contrast.

Very good likeness in most areas. The mouth in particular is spot on.
The nose  could be lowered closer to the top lip. Maybe its not that tho, could be that its a bit more angular than the pic. Can't tell but something is slightly off in the nose angle/proportion/placement?
The eyes however, so important in a portrait, are not quite set into the skull as much as the picture shows. Interesting too, since its the only zoomed detail you show.

Very nice, I really like how you did the hair and cheeks.

Looking at it again, her nose is a little wider in the image than in the pixels. I also think that there are some instances where parts of the face seem to merge with the neck more so than in pixels (but that may be due to the lack of contrast the image has in comparison with pixels).

I really want to see how you do the hair.

Souly - <3

jal - i didnt really like the creepy deep-in-skull eyes she has on the photo so i tried to bring em forward a bit. tryng to make her as pretty as i can get ^_^  I think i see what you mean with the nose, i'll look into that.

Pepijn - thanks

Aleiav - As said, i'll look at the nose. As for the neck, i'm trying to portray her as pretty as i can, and i think the higher contrast between the chin and neck makes her look less.. chubby. and well. she isnt chubby irl. not at all =P does it look bad the way i did it?
