you don't think it would be obvious enough once its actually in the clock?

I think you should have taken some ideas from the awesome edit setz gave you in the pool.

oh i definatly did take his ideas into consideration, they changed the entire form of my critter.  still need to implement some of the highlighting on the teeth.  not sure what else i could have taken from it beyond what i already have?

One thing to make it more like a 9 would be to add the bottom line to it, possibly as a lower jaw. In my opinion.

Oh i see. It's a bit busy now i look at that i suppose. Well, i'm sure people will realise your latest update is a 9 when it's on the clock.

Btw, the blue secondary lighting is great, was really what it needed. I notice the thinned corners of the beige highlight on the eye don't fade properly, and there is a noticable dot on the top. You have 2 good AA colours to use to replace that and smooth it out with i think.

Good luck.

Real cool and completely looks a 9. I like this version

All I would suggest is a slight bend to the downstroke at the very end that thins out (like a tadpole) so that its not so rigid.

Looks like he has blue teeth.

Something I was looking at though, is that the eye... Don't look like an eye. I think it's 'cause of the shading on the brown. There shouldn't be shading on the right side there, facing the whites. Maybe also adding some shine to the eye would make it look more eye-like?
