I need to practice animating my pixel art so I decided to make something simple:

Then attempted to animate it...

It just doesn't look right. I need some outside opinions on what I can do to make it look more fluid. I'm going for more of a bowl full of jelly feel. ;)

And I'd love any c+c on stuff other than the animation, too, of course...

i'm gonna give you a keyword and you're gonna take that word and run with it ... RUN I say ...

and the word is : secondary animation

(ok technically that's 2 words but you catch the drift right ...)

for starters, his bell should bounce and sway if you're going to have it jiggle on the "ho"

also, his mouth should not just open vertically. It should be rounder, withuot showing it's hard to explain but basically on the extreme pose of the ho, his mouth should be 90 degrees of what's it now.

also, I think it'd help if you visuallised his hat going backwards slightly ...
i'm not on my own rig else i'd do a little animating myself to show what I meant ...
