First is a [more] complete version. Second is the opening animation I'm working on. Pretty simple. But I haven't done a lot of isometric stuff or animations - so I put two and two together and got five.

Not sure if the animation should be split into 4 frames instead.

Very, very good. Maybe I frame added between frames 1 & 2.

A plain wooden interior would have been boring [and more work ;p], so I put down a blue cloth.

Tis a dainty flower.

As for the treasure... that roguish pirate penguin ran off with it!

cool stuff... imo I think the animation is a bit too fast.

edited the speed a bit... maybe more like this?

Some Ideas...

  • Make the cloth red!
  • Add a lock and a hinge.
  • Maybe put some treasure inside? (Please?)
  • Make the beginning of the animation slow, and then make it faster at the end. This will give a more realistic feel.
  • On frame 2 of the opening sequence, the gold trim seems a little... much.
  • Here is what I'd do to fix it...

Well thats it, I guess.

I should get around to adding treasure, but I want to finish the box first. :p [And that means I would have to add a lock. Like a little box with holes for a lamb.]

Tried to give it a more velvety feel [and made it red], although I am loathe to dither. Not sure if a hinge would be visible though. Slowed it down a bit too.

Now I'm having doubts as to whether I improved it or... disproved it. One Man Wrecking Machine.

So here's what I was working on today:

5 separate cameo-things. only 2 of which I am satisfied with. if you can name all five, awesome.

Cool box=) I would just add some bouncing effect and define inside volume a bit.

I gotta say that Blackdragon and Fool hit exactly what I was thinking. Dragon's "ye olde gold" was great, and the bounce on Fool's closing edit is equally fantastic.

How's that?

Tried making it a deeper red and fixing the shadows. And made it bounce a bit (stole one of your frames if that's okay :p). Added some gems to the treasure.

Edit: repositioned the treasure a bit. see if that's better. and thanks. although I can only take less than partial credit for that. thanks to everyone who critiqued.

Awesome looking with the bounce. The gems really add to it too.
