I wish my Windows OS would use purdy boxes. This is for my upcoming game with Bisque. The windows can be tinted any color. I just need to know if you like the design and if (Jalonso probably) could give me some clean and nice font familys to consider. I think I might make the window body text 75% transparent too to soften the harshness of the white against the background. I was inspired by the 1970's avaitor glasses and chose that color along with the old Final Fantisy style window borders.

What kind of style is the game? FF has great UI so that can't ever fail. Semi-opaque text is always cool looking. If you're going with a very simple window frame you could add some scanlines on the 'aviator glasses' rather than a gradient. Are you going pixel/dynamic fonts are are they embedded?

For purdy OS, get a mac

The game will have Bisqueesque graphics and hundreds of shots onscreen at once. The color can easly change at any time because the gradient is simply a tinted grayscale image. I can use pixel fonts or image based fonts.

The background image is actually a 16x16 image. It's just gets stretched....ALOT and interpolated. Scanlines are kind out of the question since the background image is a 16x16 image.

I would suggest of the top of my head:
for script styled pixelfont mayve 'kiddiepixel' by 04 (in links)
for clean and sharp check out the 'emate' font
Sedge placed a link to great pixel freebie fonts by a Russian guy a while ago (may be in links too)

If file size is a consideration 'sans' looks cool and most PCs.mac/linux have it in the OS, always an option.

I would rather see a little more 'pow, kapow, shazam' on the window rather than the type.

What do you mean by "the type"?

I see the top rectangle overlapping the lower one, something that really makes it look like the title is a separate, newer box. Try adding a little 3-way connector at those connections. Also, Maybe decrease the title bar to less an excessive size so as to give more emphasis on the box's contents.
