NEW VERSION OUT!!!
No, this post is not about our "red wearing friend", it's about my Vertical Shoot em Up HAVOC ZONE.
It just happend that I have a version that's ready for crits and comments at the right time.
Screenshots:

Version Features: 13 Enemies, 6 weapon systems, chain-system, Ingame Help, completely original graphics and Music.
This is my Christmas present to everyone, who likes Shoot em Ups!
Download the large version with 3 Music-scores, or the small version, with just the level-music.
Look at the end of the page for the new build of havoc zone!
I recommend the large version, but if you'r connection is slow,I advise you to download the small version.
HAVOC ZONE is a hardcore shmup, the game is meant to be hard. It is possible to play perfectly without additional weapon systems, though.
there are still some features missing, like a boss-fight, ranking system and a logbook that keeps track of variouse aspects of the game, but this version is functional and fun.
Feedback apreciated!

100 MB for the small version? Isn't that a bit excessive? If you'll be downloading 100 MB of data anyway, you might as well get an extra 60.

Yea, I know it's quite big, I'll release a much smaller version as soon as I get a mp3 plugin for Multimedia Fusion. The reason it is so big is the music in .wav format. I would have added mp3 support a long time ago, but I don't have web at home ( currently at my parents place, in munich), and could not search for a plugin... But, I'll do that now. To bad though, that I don't have Fusion here, so, the really small version will be released on January 5. ( that's the date when I'll get Internet)

I'm sorry for the lame host, they seem to have "killed" the link :(
Anyway, I'll release a smaller version on January 5. or January 6.
I'll try to get a better host, with direct http downloading and no DL-limit too.
Until then, please be patient.
It's worth the wait, because the music is remastered with real guitars ;)

The smaller version is again delayed a bit, because I'm moving over to
Multimedia Fusion 2, this will give a lot more performance, and some more features.
and, to enhance the "buzz"... I present you the secret Enemy of the game;
the fearsome DELETER

It's Big, Nasty and very dangerous...
and probably the best pixels in the entire Game ;)
It's not finished yet though, most of the animations are missing.

You know shmups are the best genre right? Games not afraid to actually challange you rather than let you play an interactive movie....
Looking real good.
Why would you do flash for a shmup game though?

Thanks for the feedback :)
Flash? It's not done with flash, It's made with Multimedia Fusion, a dedicated Game-Creation Program...

Hi again,
I just updated the game quite a bit and made it smaller (22 MB), fixed
some bugs made it easier to some degree, and the best of all: it now
constantly runs at 60fps!
You should realy download this version. http://www.megaupload.com/de/?d=A40TZPS9 - http://www.megaupload.com/de/?d=A40TZPS9
