Why do you want realism? I like your 'slime'. The orange shade is maybe not the right shade of orange but that's it. OK that light grey highlight shade is odd. All else including the pixelling is pretty good.

oh!, I don't know what to say then. I would have allowed these. Especially all 3 together as one piece like you see here. Still, Try changing the shades of orange slightly, maybe add one more darker orange shade to delineate the mouth some. Fix that highlight color and just to appease the pixel gods throw in some AA. ps: maybe the mod that sent it back will post his/her opinion for you. ------------- |

the problem may be tha it's just a basic little worm, Why don't you try adding some interest to it.
Heres some ideas:
- trail of slime
- background
- another worm + some interaction
- better colors - Like jalonso said, the saturated orange isn't doing too much for you. Try more towards the greenish-gray with much less saturation
- I like the original squiggly eyes the best, to be honest, though that last one with the brow, with some work, could be just as cute ------------- |

the 100x100 is only the preview. if you have bigger pixels than that you need to submit two images - the piece itself and a 100x100 preview for it. ------------- |

i was the one that sent them back. he knows why they were sent back, because he got the message... public queue scoring was really low, i automatically send back if the score reaches a certain amount.
