One of my pieces, the black knight, as show in my avi, was denied entry to the "Lil Dudes" Project.

I think I did as much as I could with this piece, and I don't see anything that makes it "unworthy."

In my personal opinion it is perfect, the black knight from Monty Python and the Holy Grail did not wear heavy platemail or anything.  He wore a Heavy tunic with a boar on it, which I made.  The rest was thin, besides his helmet.  I really think this deserves to be entered.

I have tweaked this all I would ever want to.  This piece is fine as is.  Perhaps if they told me what exactly needed to change, I might change it.  How can I make this work without any decent advice?

Advice no.1 - Shading the Helmet.  - done and still denied.

You might be advised to take a more humble tone with those in authority. Good life tip there.

I have only a bit of significance to whether pieces get accepted or declined, but from the perspective of someone trying to decide if this should be in the gallery, I see a few things that could use fixing up: It's hard to make out the details and the scene isn't very obvious; maybe give him a speech bubble with a line from the scene? Also, I suggest shading the helmet to show its cylindrical nature.

How do you know what my tone is?

Now that's an attitude!

Needs some shading.

I assure you, I have no attitude.

I really just think people who say that someone has a "tone" when they are not actually talking to that person are totally ignorant.

I will shade it, and submit it again.

Denied again... Could anyone else give me their thoughts on what should be done about this?

Ehemm. Please try shading it instead of putting down a block of color that, quite frankly, confuses me. Why not post a topic in the WIP forum?

What do you mean shading?  I think a darker color that what it is qualifies as shading.  If you mean dithering, it looks worse than what I have.  I made this in WIP, but people ignored it.  When I decided that there was nothing more I wanted to do with this I posted here.

woahhhhh.. slow down here everyone. Rocky is just trying to figure out why it wasn't approved and you all are just attacking him without merit.
I don't know why exactly it was rejected from the queue but I personally see no fault in the palette nor the style to be rejected.
I will say though that the Lil Dudes have been done beyond overkill and most people are tired of seeing them submitted. Personally, I'd like to see the project closed altogehter.
Rocky, consider your piece approved and this topic closed
