Trouble is that I don't know of a good host, and I'm not sure if I want my website name as TakeOut any more. I'm sure I could think of better. I'm horrible at names, all I know is I want a name showing that I'm old school gaming related. All I plan to do with my site is show off pixel art, flash games and movies, downloads, and articles/tutorials etc.

I know how I'm going to do the site design related but am still unsure of the name, which is my reason for not purchasing my domain yet.
The domain names are taken for TakeOut anyways. I can't use .uk, well I could, but it isn't fit for me cause I am not in the uk.
.dk is available, but I have no idea what it is. I may use it if it isn'tsome weird country. I looked through a bunch of sites and found that Kenneth Fejer uses .dk. Does any one know what .dk is?

edit: I found a great hosting that my friend uses, www.p42hosting.com, cheap reliable, 6$ for 15 gb bandwidth and 1 gb storage. That seems good. Still have the name and domain problem though. :\

Yeah, you're right. I guess I'll be using .uk. I may not live there but it means english to me basically. Same when I see a .jp site, it just tells me that it'll most likely be in Japanese. Either .uk or a new name. If I get a new name I want something with 2d in it or something that tells you it has to do with old skool gaming and pixels.

surpasshosting.com gives you more space for the same amount of money. and I've never had a problem with them.

If you don't mind having to post in a forum a couple of times every month (which is pretty active since everyone have to), http://www.lifelesspeople.com is a nice host. They offer a couple of subdomains for free, and allow you to use a bought domain too. They have ftp, php 4 and 5, mysql, cpanel, and easy install of almost every major cms/blogger/forum. They're probably one of the oldest free hosting services, and very relieable.

And no, I'm not paid by them to do advertising, I just think the hosting is great.
