I'm seeking a skilled icon artist that can produce 16x16, 32x32 and 64x64 sized icons for a web game. A detailed list of icons will be supplied to the artist. The visual style i'm looking for is something very similar to the icons found in World of Warcraft (Look here for reference: http://www.wowhead.com). If the game is successful there will be a chance for future collaborations, as expansions will most likely be developed. In this case, compensation will of course be extended to the artist. If you want to apply for this position, please supply samples of your work!

About Hero Bash Hero Bash is a web-based game that combines business management with hack 'n slash role-playing. You manage a total of four heroes that you will be able to explore the world of Forlorn with. You can send them on adventures, quests or just let them hang around and socialize with other heroes. As your heroes gain experience from adventuring, they will unlock new skills and abilities. They will ultimately become more powerful and can explore more dangerous parts of the world.
There will be ladders that players can compete on. For example, players with most wealth or heroes with most kills etc. A player versus player arena is also planned.
These are some of the features for the game.
Being a web-based game, it is intended for casual players as a pastime. If you have a spare moment at work or school. Login, play your rounds, maybe tweak your heroes a bit and logout.
Current Status The game is currently being developed by me alone. It has been a project of mine for several years now and I have worked on it sporadicly, when I've had time. It has been released in several alpha iterations. The latest received good responses and proved to be quite addictive. The released content was much to little though, so the players finished it very fast.
As stated, creating Hero Bash has been an iterative process. Starting with nothing more than a basic idea of a game. Hero Bash has now evolved into a well defined and solid game. With every iteration my web development skills have also increased, and now I feel that the back-end of the game is near perfection. So I am confident this will be the final iteration.

This seems to be a pretty ambitious project but what are you seeking to gain from it? It seems like a big project, especially when the artist isn't getting paid.

I'm planning on offering premium memberships to players for a small monthly fee. The game will be free to play, but will be restricted for those who have the basic membership. Also, future expansions will have a one-time fee.
Yes, your right. It is a big project. Fortunately, much of the server side programming is already complete, and i've started working with the front-end parts of the game (html, css). As i've re-written pretty much the whole game over several iterations (using different server-side languages), many aspects remain the same. I also have a rough overview of the content planned for this first episode. The details need to be worked out though.
Regarding compensation, I am open to suggestions. Maybe some sort of fee payed after the game launches and generates any money. I might even consider some form of partnership.
