This is almost finished, but I thought posting it here wouldn't hurt. Anyone has comments or critics? I spent easily over 20 hours on it over the whole week so far, and I want it to be reaaally good when its posted.

Also I wonder if the two colors are right, or if I should go for less contrast...

Looking excellent
Some nitpicks:
-every few frames there is a sudden "jerk" in some areas, for example the tall plants at the very left, and the pieces of cloth on the rocks.  The rest of the movement in the picture is very smooth, so this stands out a little
-as the grass moves away from the viewer, I think there should less detail since it's further away, and the "ripple" would appear to get smaller

I think the colours are pretty nice as they are, it gives the scene a kind of stark feeling.  If you want a more creepy feel, maybe a dull orange to replace the lighter colours would work well.

Looking forward to the finished piece

maybe it's me, but rather than grass, that looks like a river. mean, the grass's "ripple" should always go in the same direction, as it follows the wind's direction. then, in the animation we see that the ripple makes a turn to the rigth, instead of following straigth to the left.

althougth this can be easily argued(after all, it's wind, and it doesn't need to follow an strict parttern, and this effect of a 'turn' can be the product of a wind pipe) may it be a suggestio about the `piece. in any case it would affect the final result.

what you could check in the other side is what ms Mash potato said about the ripple getting smaller as it reaches the horizont. and i'd like to add that it could be a bit slower too from that depresion in the lower left corner.

absolutely looking foward to vote this piece, as this challege lacked animations.
