Well this is my first go at an isometric

I dont really like the colors off the green building. Good job so far though. Streets might be too small?

i agree with 'christopher' about the green building, now that it's been pointed out (otherwise i wouldn't have batted an eyelash at it). however, I think the glass door behind it is really good. i think all the windows in the piece are well shaded :]

As far as shading for the isometric buildings, check out this tutorial:

The edges that are facing toward you should be a lighter color than the edges facing away.

Great start. keep scale in check, those bricks are as big as stop signs.

Thanks for tutorial JJ, i appreciate it , I'll follow the guides on the tutorial and we'll see what happens
 
I made some very minor changes, I still have to get that one building done and I will make the streets bigger as well
 
just a quick question, is this better now?
 
 
which do you prefer?
