I just thought I'd try one of these, since it seems like everyone is doing one these days.  This was put together in an hour, so it definitely needs some improving.  But I think this is a good start.  I tried to follow the art style as best as I could.
BTW, I tried adding glasses, but they just got in the way.  If someone wants to make me a quick edit showing me how to make glasses look good, then please, go ahead.  If not, no big deal.

Looking good but I'd say the length of the legs are slightly short and look out of proportion. For heavens sake take the hand out of the pocket, its playing with the Pikachu if you know what I mean.
For glasses dont to a circle/square all around the eyes, just to the outside edges.

Thanks for the criticism.  Yeah, I guess the hand in the pocket was a little disturbing.  And the legs were purposefully short, since I'm really short, at only 5'3".  Also, I tried adding glasses, and I think they turned out decently.

Howdy. It doesn't matter how tall you are, your proportions remain pretty much fixed. Only age changes proportions. Just so you know.

The shading is off, mainly on the body and arms. Hands also seem too small, mainly the right (his left) one.

Had a bit of a play, note the shading, proportions and selout. My take on the glasses might not be what you're after, but it's pretty much all I could figure out for it.

Thanks for the edit.  I'm not very good at shading, so this edit really helps.  *goes to work on improving it*

Update: Removed the highlight on the hair, removed the glasses, made the hands bigger, and changed the shading a little.
