I am respectfully requesting that the submission entitled "Punk" be reconsidered. The last three pieces I've submitted have been turned down do to "quality standards", though I can see no reason why this (or the last few submissions I've made) are any better or worse than other submissions that have been admitted. I may not be quite as good as some of the other legends that are part of PJ, but my efforts are true, and I'm beginning to get a bit discouraged here.

Thanks.

Do you not feel you could spend more time on the pieces? Perhaps them not being accepted should be a sign, it's just a little push to get you to work some more on them. You could create a WIP thread here or on Pixelation and get other artists to give you helpful critique. I think you'll feel better about it if you do...

If you're too busy to do that we may be able to reconsider, but i really suggest you try working on them more with the help of the other members. Also, maybe putting all three of the sprites into one submission would up your chances of them being submitted. On their own they sort of lack the effort, sorry.

Good luck!

Thank you...

Incidentally, I'm looking for help in the area of shading and color, but have not really found topics out there on the subject. Any suggestions?

The quality and level in your isos and the mockup in your gallery are very good. When you compare the 3 sprites you mention they lack in quality to YOUR gallery and work not the work of others. Legends do not exist, hard work and self improvement do. While I did not send these back, I would have because you have shown better quality and now we expect no less than that. Not to say your 3 pixels are total crap. But they are unrefined and could use it. We really do try to help each other improve and never judge based in comparison to anything. Or else this site would be called www.fool.com

refine - resubmit - relax

http://www.itchstudios.com/psg/art_tut.htm - This page is good.

I also think learning/messing about with realistic 3D CG lighting methods is really helpful.
