Theres a fairly popular vehicle scam used a lot over the internet. I'm sure most of you have heard of it. a seller selling a car is contacted by someone over the internet from another country who wants to buy the car, they send a cashiers check(fake) with extra money which is to be sent by wire to someone else (normally a shipping agent)... you deposit the check (it takes two weeks to clear) you send the money... the check bounces etc. http://www.swapmeetdave.com/Scam/Njoku.htm - Link to details.
this is where it gets good. one of these scammers wanted to buy a painting i have exhibited somewhere on the internet. I was kinda weary of a person moving from alabama to london who spoke broken english and then sent me a bank of america cashiers check for a couple thousand dollars more than my asking price. the check looks like it was printed on an ink jet and has no watermark.
I have the check and the painting and want to f@ck with these people. any good ideas?

Or better yet make a f**ked up version using food colored bodily fluids of the painting and send them that.
*Reporting them to the FBI is good too.

What you should do is send them a canvas, of the same size as the painting, and draw a large stick figure and a nice message to accompany. =]

Hmmm. Might be safer to take a "non - string them along" action. Not knowing who these people are or what else they might be upto, you don't want a scenario of them busting through your front door with a sawn off shotgun.

Simply send them a painting, that you declare as worth 2000$.. imagine the tax they will have to pay on that when it arrives lol.
