I was just wondering whether or not you make your own palettes?
or, do you get your palettes from someplace else?...if you do make/use palettes that is.

If you make your own, how do you come to create your colours? I know it depends on what you are making, but what else do you consider when looking for a palette?

If you get your palettes someplace else, could you please tell me where you usually get them?

If you are interested in really going after a cool palette I would recommend typing "color theory" into google and reading a few articles. It's well worth it if you want to pursue art seriously.

Yes, something I've been learning these last weeks is that formal knowledge in art is terribly useful.

So make sure to check some general art tutorials about colors and shading.

I prolly have my own colour theory. Part of it states that Green kicks ass, but the devil is yellow and pink.

Truer words have ne'er been spoken/

I don't even worry about it. I just make whatever colors match the mood or surrounding area.

Color theory is actually really interesting even if you don't want to apply it to your art.  The science part of it (how our brains associate colors with moods/emotions) is fascinating.

Luke, I'm gonna have to read up on that. Do you have any sites you would recommend?
