To be honest the Wii doesn't have all that much.
There's Zelda and Metroid, both games happen to be very very good. Have'em both, love'em both.
But that's about it in my book. Aside from the virtual console stuff there isn't that much for the Wii right now.

I would say Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition, but you're too young.
Also, Excite Truck. Excite Truck is awesome.

I would be quite happy if they removed all the Mario and Sonic games from the VC completely.(Just lost about half of my audience) I don't think the world needs releases of these games because they have already been released on many modern consoles and handhelds. It's nice to see that there may be more support for imports such as the Japanese "Sin and Punishment" and the Super Mario Lost Levels (Known as Super Mario 2 in Japan). I agree that the new Zelda and Metroid games are good too. However there is nothing wrong with playing the classics and if you missed a game or two and never got a Turbografix 16 this is a golden opportunity. They have currently added Neo Geo games which is great considering the system would have left you in the poor house back in its day. Think of the Wii as a legal emulator and embrace the old and new alike.
Regarding the Wiimote:
I think it's a wonderful little device with minimalist design. it's fairly easy to use and is accurate enough for my tastes. However, I don't really care if games make full use of the motion sensors or not. If natural motion adds to the playability of the game that's great, I DON'T want the Wiimote to become more important than the game. It shouldn't be the game itself. The controller is meant to facilitate game play easily and the Wiimote has opened up a Pandora's Box for bulky control schemes. When it works it works great (wii sports) but again the controller is there to interact with the game not BE the game.

My only complaint about the Wiimote is that in Metroid sometimes you just lose the lock for no reason at all and you end up missing your shots. Other than that I love it.
And I can't wait for No More Heroes to come out. About time Nintendo started releasing bloody games for the rest of us.

in other words, people are buying Wiis just to play SSB:brawl. nor to try the wiimote.
on the other hand, i would never, EVER pay for a game of the VC console. that's the most ridiculous thing I've seen in ages, for two main reasons: one, they can be downloaded almost anywhere on the internet, legally or not legally. and second, jeez, did i paid $200 dollars on a ultimate console just to play sonic 2????

Get Zelda, Metroid, SSBB (When it comes out), Mario strikers (if you want a multiplayer game while you wait for ssbb... apart from wii sports which is good). I hear rayman raving rabbids 2 will be good.
Don't buy anything sporty apart from Wii Sports or anything with Mario in. Don't buy any games made from movies, tv series' or books.

Notice how I said that Mario/Sonic franchises games should be excluded because of prior release on modern consoles. Sonic 2 is available on at least three modern platforms. Also I play MAME and other emulators. legally even if you own the games you are not entitled to have backup copies of them. People say you can but this is not true. However I'm sure you have that Neo Geo in your living room and the Turbografix 16 under the coffee table. Some people don't wish to play games illegally and this is a nice feature. I don't care how modern of flashy systems become if the games are not fun to play then the system is a failure.
I consider the Wii a success since it has some fun games to offer. For me the classics are great and the new games are just icing on the cake.

i don't care about being legally, or not legally. What i want is to play something, have fun, enjoy it, because sadly, there's no place in my life where i could say "yes, i've played Snatcher on my Mega CD" or "yeah, I've replayed contra on my NES the other day" but there's place for a sentence like "oh my... There's no support from nintendo, sega, sony, microsoft or anyone in South America" or the greastest one of all time "i can't buy it"

If you'r an RPG sort, try for Super Paper Mario. I've heard great things about it. Or grab a copy of Aunt Julia and the Scriptwriter.

Guitar Hero 3, it's only $50 US Dollars without the guitar and $90 with.
However, you can use the wii remote inplace of a guitar.
Smash bros as well when it is released.

The Wii supports pixel art just fine >:I Use its web browser, go to Pixel Joint, find a sweet mockup and zoom in until the image is stretched to fit the TV screen. It is awesome. You must do it.
